He was awarded a Ford Foundation Scholarship, a Harvard Scholarship, and a John and Robert Kennedy Legal Scholarship.
He has maintained a general legal practice for 25 years in Santa Barbara, California and has also practiced in Hanover, New Hampshire area for 2 years. He has been a member of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, the Santa Barbara County Lawyer Referral Service as Vice President and the New Hampshire Bar Association. He is admitted to the practice of law in both the states of California and New Hampshire.
